Chris Marks

I met Chris at Ray Robinson's forge in Laurel, Mississippi about 13 years ago.  Chris was the first person I had ever seen to forge steel, and it was mesmerizing.  Chris comes from a multi generation lineage of blacksmiths with a rich history.  He was part of the movement to revive blacksmithing in the United States and one of the first members of the ABS to receive Masterbladesmith Status.

Chris forges superior ironwork of all types.  His pattern welded blades and mosaic patterns are among the finest in the world and sought after by the most discriminating knife collectors.  There are many successful knifemakers that forged their first billet of damascus under the tutelage of Chris at his shop in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
